A new robotic arm covered in special sensors has demonstrated the ability to touch objects carefully, without breaking or knocking them over, while reaching for a specific item. It was developed by a team at the Georgia Institute of Technology led by Charlie Kemp, an assistant professor. In one exercise, the robotic arm wiped a patient's face with a cloth and pulled a blanket over him.
