Royal Dutch Shell within the next couple of months seeks to begin production from a greenfield project in the Majnoon oil field in Iraq, said Simon Henry, the company's chief financial officer. "It's the first greenfield project and it's taken some time to generate not just operational capability but also the legislative capability that goes with it," Henry said. Shell expects daily production from the field to reach 175,000 barrels by year's end.
