The White House estimates more than 1 million service members will transition out of the military by the end of 2015 and many of them could turn to the franchising industry, which has provided nearly 65,000 veterans with jobs since the start of Operation Enduring Opportunity in 2011, according to the IFA. "Veterans do well in the franchising arena. It's a way to provide opportunities for them, especially if jobs aren't available," said Rhett Jeppson, associate administrator for the SBA's office of veterans business development.
