The weather in the Toledo, Ohio, area has cooperated with the strawberry crop this year, and growers expect an above-average yield of sweet berries when the fruit hits its peak in a week or two. "We had to frost-protect the crop a few nights, turn the irrigation on to protect them. But on our farm, it looks like it’s going to be a big crop," said Johnston Fruit Farms owner Martha Mora.
