An Association of American Medical Colleges survey showed enrollment at medical schools and schools of osteopathic medicine is increasing but officials are worried there will not be enough residency training spots for students. AAMC President and CEO Darrell Kirch, M.D., said medical schools are doing their part to increase the number of family physicians and Congress must do its part by lifting the cap on residency training positions.
