A study presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists found 72% of women in the first trimester of pregnancy and 61% of those in the third trimester experienced at least one bowel disorder such as bloating, diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome. However, the conditions did not significantly affect the respondents' quality of life, researchers noted.
