Tutor Perini and Baker Concrete Construction are collaborating to build a pair of concrete bridges to support a new elevated and sloped runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. The joint venture is part of a $180 million contract for the two spans that will support the airport's future runway and taxiway structures. Approximately 70,000 cubic yards of cast-in-place concrete will be used for construction. The entire runway project is priced at $750 million. Other projects are underway at the airport as well.
