The Tennessee Valley Authority has conducted tests to prove the reliability of some of the components installed at the Watts Bar Unit 2 reactor in Tennessee and is nearly finished, officials said. TVA last year received a citation from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the installation of parts that hadn't undergone safety tests. "To date, no safety significance has been identified, nor do we anticipate any safety significant issues once evaluations are tests have been completed," said Ric Wiggall, senior engineering manager at Watts Bar.
