Students from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Va., journeyed through African-American history recently, as the school gym turned into an art gallery for a one-day of the works of local artist Avis Collins Robinson. The exhibit, "Please Remember Me: Honoring Extraordinary Ordinary People," included images of famous figures, including Malcolm X, as well as Robinson's parents. The exhibit made an impression, as students were "buzzing about the show all day," said Eric Hill, a college and career counselor at the school.
