Amazon's success with two-day delivery and experiments into same-day orders has spurred other retailers and delivery services including the U.S. Postal Service into action to devise the systems and logistics that will make same-day delivery work. "The consumer demand for specific types of products — like those with immediate gratification or convenience including groceries, movies and gifting categories — will be where we expect to see continued growth of same-day delivery programs," Shop.org executive director Vicki Cantrell said.
