A number of top executives at major corporations have quit in recent months without being under pressure to do so. That's perhaps a sign that being the boss of a big company is less rewarding than it might seem to outsiders, experts say. "The reality is it's grueling. It's really tough, and there comes a point where you don't want to do it any more," said executive headhunter Ian Butcher.
