The X Prize Foundation, whose multimillion-dollar incentives have driven private flight to the edge of space, is planning still more beyond its current $30 million prize for a trip to the Moon. One idea under consideration would target development of "a very-low-cost, robust capability to take scientific instruments to the edge of space [200,000 feet] on a dedicated basis," said Gregg Maryniak, the group’s corporate secretary.
