Yahoo will abandon its unpopular Flickr Pro pricing tier in favor of an Ad Free pricing tier set at $49.99 per year, along with a power-user tier with a terabyte of storage space for $499.99 per year. The shift is part of an effort to offer only high-resolution photo downloads to all users, which were previously available only to Pro subscribers. “We keep your images and you have high resolution images everywhere which is a huge differentiator," said Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.
