Germany's wpd has signed a deal to sell seven land-based wind farms with a combined capacity of 87.6 megawatts to utilities Thuega and ESWE Versorgungs. Thuega, which plans to spend $1.3 billion in renewable energy by the end of the decade, bought 58.4 MW while ESWE bought 29.2 MW, Thuega said. "We were able to double our wind farm portfolio to 204 megawatts compared to 2012 with this transaction," said Thuega board member Michael Reichel.
