Airbus' A350 XWB completed its first test flight Friday, a four-hour excursion that included a new Rockwell Collins hosting platform for aircraft maintenance and airline applications data. "This platform is especially important to our company since we’ve been given the opportunity to lead integration activities that introduce a new level of trust between Rockwell Collins and Airbus," said Kent Statler, vice president of commercial systems at Rockwell Collins. The maiden flight of the plane, a competitor to Boeing's 787, occurred Friday, just before the 2013 Paris Air Show.
