AMD is launching a "Unified Gaming Strategy" to be the connection that lets developers build software that ports across PCs, mobile devices and game consoles. "If we can create a gaming experience on the console and client as well as in the cloud ... we're going to build our brand, we're going to build our market share, we're going to win," said AMD's Matt Skynner. The chipmaker is also building chips that will support Android and Chrome OS in PCs and tablets. "We are very committed to Windows 8; we think it's a great operating system, but we also see a market for Android and Chrome developing as well," AMD's Lisa Su said.
