AT&T in a blog post on Wednesday campaigned for the "Down from 51" band plan that would govern the aftermath of the planned broadcast incentive spectrum auction. Senior Vice President Bob Quinn asserted that the Federal Communications Commission's proposal would subject carriers to interference. Verizon Wireless and the broadcasters have backed the same plan. Also, T-Mobile US weighed in on the planned 600 MHz auction by taking the middle ground on arguments over whether the FCC should limit AT&T and Verizon's ability to bid for licenses. T-Mobile said the agency should not block the carriers from bidding but should ensure broad carrier access to the frequencies.
