Exports of liquefied natural gas play a role in maintaining the domestic shale natural gas boom, said Marianne Kah, chief economist for ConocoPhillips. "I think it's a false choice to say we either use the gas here or we export it. I think we can do both," Kah said. "And the truth is if we don’t have a market for that gas it won't be produced."
