Some environmentalists will probably alter their views about nuclear energy after watching the new documentary "Pandora's Promise" because of film's fact structuring, writes David Ropeik, an instructor at the Harvard Extension School. The documentary makes a resounding case that nuclear power is a clean and reliable source of energy that also helps in the global fight against climate change, he writes. "The information in the film is presented in ways that resonate with many of the emotional, instinctive, affective characteristics that shape how people feel about risks in general, and about nuclear power and climate change in particular," Ropeik writes.
