Engineering students at Oregon State University have come up with a new navigation system that should be particularly interesting to the kit airplane market. The NAV 2000 is just 1 inch tall and far more affordable than GPS technology. "I'm incredibly impressed with how accurate the students have been able to make this system," said Jim Harr, president of Oregon-based VAL Avionics. "It's more accurate than anything I've seen."
