The Defense Department is proposing a five-year "cyber-expense" budget to boost efforts to fight cybercrime, and wants to spend up to $23 billion over the next five years. The Pentagon also is hoping to get $9.3 billion to build systems to block hackers. The proposal would reflect an 18% increase over this fiscal year's cybercrime commitment.
