American Realty Capital Properties is buying 471 properties from General Electric for $807 million. The properties are largely rented to such restaurant tenants as IHOP, Jack in the Box and Taco Bell. The REIT is making the acquisition to diversify its portfolio.

Target will roll out its beauty concierge program to 36 Minneapolis-area stores in June and expand it to 200 stores nationally by the end of the year. The program, tested first in Chicago, will put specialists hired from a third-party company in stores to consult with customers and make brand-neutral recommendations for cosmetics and hair and skin-care products.
