Intel is debuting its inaugural "Haswell" server chip, the Xeon E3-1200v3, aimed at the cloud-gaming segment. The chip allows graphics and media to be delivered via microservers in the cloud, the company says. Intel also is seeking to innovate on what it terms "perceptual computing," a next-generation user interface, Dan Farber writes.
