When students at Warner Elementary School in Nicholasville, Ky., learned their classmate, Braden Petrucci, wished for an accessible van that would accommodate his wheelchair, they launched a massive fundraising campaign that included students, teachers, families and the community. The effort raised more than the $30,000 cost of the van, so the additional money will help the family of 7-year-old Braden, who has spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, pay for insurance and other expenses.
