Repair of concrete problems at the Silver Spring Transit Center in Montgomery County, Md., could start by the end of July if a remediation plan by the contractor is approved by the county Department of Permitting Services, says David Dise, director of the county Department of General Services. Remediation will involve removing the top 2 to 3 inches of concrete and adding a polymer overlay on cracked slabs. "The good news is that work is progressing and collaboration is alive and well," Dise said.
