Students in Karen Ballard's Bel Air High School art classes create a mural each year, with an important theme or subject. This year's students created murals honoring Harford County Sheriff's Office personnel who had died in the line of duty. The murals, which will hang at the Harford County Detention Center and the Sheriff's Office headquarters, were inspired by a visit by the Maryland students to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
