DreamWorks Animation, under a new long-term agreement, will provide more than 300 hours of new programming to Netflix. The terms of the deal were not made public.
The new shows will be "inspired" by characters from DreamWorks Animation franchises, such as "Shrek" and "The Croods," as well as new titles. Additional content will be produced by DreamWorks-owned Classic Media, whose characters include Casper the Friendly Ghost, Lassie and Mr. Magoo.
