Of nearly 4,400 consumers surveyed around the world, 20.9% reported that they bring their personal smartphones to work even though their employer prohibits bring-your-own-device practices, according to Ovum. "Trying to stand in the path of consumerised mobility is likely to be a damaging and futile exercise," Ovum's Richard Absalom said in a statement. "We believe businesses are better served by exploiting this behaviour to increase employee engagement and productivity, and promote the benefits of enterprise mobility."
