PKF Hospitality Research has released new data indicating that since 2007, there has been a steady decrease in U.S. room service revenues. The data reflect an emerging trend in the food-and-beverage space favoring casual, self-serve and grab 'n' go dining options. On the other hand, room service can still be a profitable venture for hotels in locations where dining options can be limited, PKF says.
