The approach differs from geofencing utilized by other companies by using historical location data to target consumers before they head out for lunch. "Location is important to make sure consumers are in the right geographic location, but it's not about reaching them when they're on the way to eat lunch; it's about reaching them while they're in the planning process," Quiznos' Tim Kraus said.
