Pegasus Solutions reports that leisure hotel bookings grew 7% in April, surpassing the global rate of 6.2%. On the other hand, business bookings rose 5%, short of the 8.8% rate worldwide. The global market saw a 4% bookings increase in the corporate sector and a 5.4% rise in leisure bookings. "For hotels in North America, we're seeing the corporate market fall short of the leisure market's impressive run. Looking ahead, this trend will continue as global corporate demand is expected to ease just below 2012 levels after a potential bump of around plus 4% in June," said Pegasus Solutions CEO David Millili.
