Wisconsin-based Roth Cheese is offering its specialty cheeses in new, smaller 5-ounce deli cups and 6-ounce packs of sliced cheese. The cheesemaker decided to offer the more diminutive sizes as a way to encourage shoppers to try a new cheese without spending too much. "Research with specialty cheese shoppers indicated that they would be more likely to try an unfamiliar cheese if it was offered in a smaller package," said Guido Kaeli, Emmi Roth's vice president of marketing.
