Samsung Electronics will introduce in its home market of South Korea this month a version of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone that runs LTE-Advanced, a 4G upgrade that transmits data at twice the speed of traditional Long-Term Evolution handsets. Samsung's mobile chief, J.K. Shin, said the company was in talks with overseas carriers but declined to provide more details. Investors have battered Samsung shares in recent days since analysts pared back their highly optimistic Galaxy forecasts. Separately, Samsung plans to give away 1 million copies of rapper Jay-Z's new album to Galaxy smartphone owners prior to the album's official release.
