SK Telecom's Internet services arm will invest $500 million to $1 billion to enter the U.S. market over the next several years, Chief Executive Jinwoo So said in an interview. SK Planet's initial project, which it plans to release this summer, will be a messaging application called Frankly, but the South Korean company said it also developing ideas for mobile video, commerce and education services. SK Planet will make San Francisco its newest hub.
