While 95% of life insurance beneficiaries rated their claims experience as satisfactory, those who were "extremely satisfied" were almost four times more likely to conduct additional business with the carrier and almost three times more likely to recommend the company to others, according to a LIMRA study. Companies that displayed "care and compassion" and "knowledge and competence" got better rankings from beneficiaries, according to the survey. LIMRA also found that beneficiaries who worked with agents during the claims process were highly complimentary about the experience.
