Companies that purchase commodities from their local suppliers are providing almost twice as much benefit to the local economy as companies that purchase goods from multinational chains, according to a joint study conducted by ISIS Research Centre, LOCO BC and Columbia Institute. The research assessed office-supply companies in British Columbia.
