A study released by HIMSS Analytics found that 46% of more than 800 physician groups surveyed intend to participate in a health information exchange. The study, which also examined views on other HIT subjects such as meaningful use attestation and EHR and practice management implementation, also found that 73% of responding groups own an ambulatory EHR solution, while 65% do not plan to buy an EHR system or replace or enhance their existing technology.
