The reauthorization of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act has a chance of passing, but the program is unlikely to be expanded, said William Berkley, chairman and CEO of W.R. Berkley. While lawmakers don't seem eager to extend TRIA, "this improving housing industry and construction industry will put additional pressure on TRIA [renewal]," Berkley said. "I'm optimistic ... that at best there is a 60-40 chance that it will be extended."
