Amputees from the Boston Marathon bombings are concerned about insurance coverage once the event has faded from front-page news, according to blogger Melinda Henneberger. Above-knee amputee Roseann Sdoia says she has received no bills, but wonders what will happen in five years, when the publicity around the bombings has faded. "[A] lot of insurance companies only cover around $4,000 a year -- about the cost of a foot," says Rep. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., a bilateral amputee who lost her legs during military service.
