While the U.S. Chemical Production Regional Index showed flat growth last month, the American Chemistry Council's most recent Weekly Chemistry and Economic Report found "production in all regions accelerated to a 1.1% year-over-year gain" compared with June 2012. "The economy is expected to rise by 1.8% in 2013," according to ACC, and the outlook for next year is also good, with an average 2.7% growth predicted.
