Depending on which analyst to believe, Apple's iPhone sales will either lag smartphone industry averages this year or perform surprisingly well. The IHS iSuppli research firm on Wednesday issued a forecast that, while bullish for the smartphone market overall, predicted relatively flat iPhone sales for 2013. On the other hand Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty asserted that Apple's third-quarter unit shipments will reach 15% to 20% above an analyst consensus estimate. Also, a new report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners said that Apple will be hard-pressed to reach CEO Tim Cook's goals for selling more devices in its stores.
