The FDA this week removed from its import alerts list two Mexican cucumber suppliers, Miracle Greenhouse and Daniel Cardenas Izabal, whose products were tied to an outbreak of Salmonella Saintpaul that affected 84 people across 18 states this year. The move means the companies' cucumbers can no longer be detained without being examined physically. Tests on the suppliers' facilities and cucumber samples were negative for salmonella.
