Bond offerings from banks in Europe, Asia and the US jumped 62% last week, to $26.4 billion, according to Bloomberg-compiled data. "The reporting season is done and dusted, and interest-rate volatility has stabilised," said Norval Loftus, chief investment officer at Allegra Investment Management (UK). "So it's a good two-part combination for an issuance window and for banks to increase their issues."
