Microsoft is looking to attract developers to its Bing application programming interfaces with back-end services designed to give developers access to the infrastructure and data behind its search, mapping and other APIs. The new services include data access tool Bing Entity API, Bing Translator Control and Bing Maps 3D SDK. "For us, the future of search is not about more search boxes; it's about building a platform to enable applications and devices to empower people with knowledge and help them do more, not just search more," the company wrote in a blog post.
