BNSF is sponsoring a three-day training session in Vancouver, Wash., to educate emergency responders on safety measures during hazardous-materials incidents. An estimated 150 people are expected to participate in the event, which is part of the Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response initiative. "It's critical that local emergency responders are on the same page as the BNSF team to ensure the safety of the community and environment," said Gus Melonas, BNSF director of public affairs.
