The U.K. is lagging in its war on online criminal activity, and government agencies and the European Union should bolster their efforts for protecting networks and develop proactive strategies for dealing with growing cyberthreats, officials say. A report from Parliament's Home Affairs Committee finds current efforts to address the "black hole" of cybercrime have proven inadequate and calls on the government to create a new fast reaction force to deal with emerging cyber-espionage.
