The use of science, technology, engineering and math could be the solution to improving education for male students -- whose high-energy personalities and learning styles may put them at an educational disadvantage, former middle-school teacher Anne Jolly writes in this blog post. Jolly, who now trains teacher teams, suggests teachers use STEM to provide high-energy lessons in which boys can be motivated by movement, learn from real-world applications and work in teams.
