Citigroup will pay Fannie Mae $968 million in order to resolve future claims over mortgage loans that may sour, according to an announcement from the bank. The sum will cover troubled loans and future claims on loans originating between 2000 and 2012. "We have a strong and productive relationship with Fannie Mae," said Jane Fraser, CEO of CitiMortgage. "As we work to deepen and enhance financial relationships with our clients, we will continue to focus on the production of high-quality mortgage loans."
