Falcon School District 49 in Colorado held its first summer camp for gifted and talented students. The program used hands-on activities to engage students in classes, such as edible science, solar photography and archeology. "I didn't hear anybody complaining -- they all liked it," said Heather Hutchinson, a teacher at Skyview Middle and Vista Ridge High schools who led a bottle rockets class and a Rubik's Cube challenge.
