A comet due to pass near the sun Nov. 28 may not turn out to be quite the celestial light show as predicted, according to findings by astronomer Ignacio Ferrin of Colombia's University of Antioquia. "Comet ISON has been on a standstill for more than 132 days," said Ferrin, leading him to believe that the comet may have already run out of steam.
